Donald R Baker, 68 of Bloomfield IN passed away on May 1, 2022 at IU Hospice House in Bloomington, IN. He was born in Washington, IN on Aug. 1. 1952 to William and Lela Baker of Burns City. IN.

Don married his best friend and soul mate Connie (Lewis) Baker on Aug. 19. 1983.

He was a proud Navy veteran. After retiring from Otis Elevator he worked for Raydar Inc at NSWC Crane.

Donnie loved his family and building birdhouses. He had fun showing and selling his creations at local festivals.

Family left to cherish his memory includes his wife Connie; one daughter Dawn Nicole Baker of Bloomington; two step-sons Christian (Misti) Hays of Loogootee; Jason (Jessica) Hays of Linton. He was blessed with seven grandchildren and 2 great-grandsons. He leaves one brother Jerry (Sandy) Barker of Washington and many loving cousins.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Jim and Ralph Barker and one sister Nancy (Barker) Marion.

There will be a celebration of Don's life on May 15 at the Bloomfield Park, South Shelter House.
