David Leroy Shrader, age 80, of Linton, passed away peacefully at 10:20 am on Thursday, September 10, 2020, at his daughter Annette's house. He was born in Charleston, WV on October 26, 1939, the son of David Newton Shrader & Duvie Dare (Cook) Shrader.

He was a 1957 graduate of Valley High School in Albuquerque, NM. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He worked as a master electrician for most of his life. He loved spending time with his beloved family and eating ice cream.

David is survived by his daughters, Annette (Daniel) Alvey of Linton and Sheri (Douglas) Richmond of Texas; son, Eric Shrader of California; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren as well as his brother, Ernest Alvin Shrader.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, David Ray Scott Shrader; daughter, Michelle Childress; brother, Darryl Shrader and sister, Marian Joyce Shrader.

There will be military honors held for David on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Welch & Cornett Funeral Home & Crematory, Linton Chapel.
