Charles Oran Keller
/Charles Oran Keller, 72, of Bloomfield, Indiana passed away on October 11, 2021, at Bell Trace Nursing Home with his family by his side. Charles was born on December 30, 1948, the son of Martin Keller and Lula Mae (Keasling) Keller. Charles married Mable (Vandeventer) Keller on October 25, 1969.
Charles was an entrepreneur all his life. He was a truck driver for over 20 years for Bildred Trucking Company, where he earned his name “Pack Rat,” worked at Indiana University, and at the coal mine for many years.
When Charles was not driving a truck, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, bee keeping, gardening, and spending time with his friends. He was often described as the grouchy man on his front porch, but all that knew him loved him dearly!
Survivors include his wife of over 50 years; Mable (Vandeventer) Keller, daughters; Loretta (Mike) Smith, of Florida, Sahara (Dale) Helms, of Bloomfield, Daniel (Dawn) Keller of Bloomfield, grandchildren; Gavin, Jordan, Cortnie, Jaseton, Teagan, great-grandchildren; Chloe, Jace, Lily, Kinzley, twin brother; Martin (Ellen) Keller, and many friends and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters; Helen Mauder, Charlotte Dunham, brother; Lewis Keller, two grandchildren; Cory Frye, Dani Frye.
Visitation will be held at Word of Life Fellowship Church in Bloomfield on October 30, 2021, from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M.
Burial will take place at Walnut Grove Cemetery at a later date.
