Bobby "Bob" Beatty, age 79, of Bloomfield, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2020, at Monroe Hospital. He was born in Worthington, IN on June 5, 1940, the son of Russell Beatty & Mary (Fowler) Beatty.

He married his beautiful wife, Connie Fiscus, on March 17, 1962.

Bob and his twin sister Betty were 1958 graduates of Switz City Central High School. He also received his Associates Degree in Drafting at Lane Technical Institute in Indianapolis. He worked as an Engineering Technician for 35 years at Crane then went to work for 15 more years at SAIC in Bloomfield. In his younger years he enjoyed woodworking, gardening and was very proud to help design the house that he and the love of his life lived in for 26 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Connie (Fiscus) Beatty of Bloomfield; son, Brian Todd Beatty of Bloomfield; grandson, Garrett Beatty; daughter-in-law, Jane Beatty; twin sister, Betty (Stanley) Herold and beloved fur companion, Snickers.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Shirley Scott and brother, Bruce Beatty.

Funeral service will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, May 26, 2020, with Tom Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
