Bernard R. Veatch, 86, of Bloomfield passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Born September 13, 1935 in Greene County, Indiana the son of William H. and Olive Pearl (Roach) Veatch.
Bernard was retired from RCA in Bloomington and was a member of the Living Lights Ministry in Ridgeport.
Surviving relatives include his two sons, Terry W. (Margaret) Veatch, Michael Veatch, his grandchildren, Hannah (Bryan) Stephens, Brent Veatch, Trevor (Lindsay) Veatch, Brandon (Melissa) Veatch and Jason Veatch, his great grandchildren, Devon, Elaine, Cameron, Justin, Jacob, Gracie, Timber, Hunter, Glenn, Carter and Garrett.
Bernard was preceded in death by his wife Betty Joanne Veatch on July 10, 2015; and infant daughter Sherry Jo Veatch, five siblings and his parents.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1 P.M. until the hour of service at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday with Rev. Dave Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
The family wishes in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Living Lights Ministry in care of Jenkins Funeral Home.

Jerry Lee Newsom, age 81, of Worthington, passed away peacefully at 4:15 PM on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at Glenburn Home in Linton. He was born in Linton on August 22, 1943, the son of Robert and Geneva (Scott) Newsom.
Janet McCarter, age 89, of Worthington, passed away peacefully at 2:24 am on Friday, February 7, 2025, at her residence. She was born in Lake County, IN on December 11, 1935, the daughter of Benham & Josie (Mitten) Williams.

Reva Pauline Wells Thatcher, 93, of Worthington, Indiana, passed away peacefully at her home on February 4, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 27, 1931, near Arney in Owen County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Dennis "Jake" and Ona (White) Wells. Pauline, as she was affectionately known, was a hardworking and dedicated woman who, alongside her husband Fletcher Thatcher Jr., owned and operated Thatcher Feed and Grain in Worthington for many years.
With hearts full of love and sorrow, we announce the passing of our precious son, Houston Dwayne Hinkle who went home to be with Jesus on February 2, at just 10 months old. Though his time on earth was brief, his life was filled with love, courage, and the undeniable presence of God’s grace.
