Barbara Jean Hash

Barbara Jean Hash, 62, of Solsberry passed away Friday November 1, 2019 at her residence. Born July 26, 1957 in Columbus, Indiana the daughter of Donald E. and Doris E. (Hollolman) Gibson.

Barbara was retired from Indiana University; she was a member of the Solsberry United Methodist Church. Barbara loved her family with all her heart and always had a smile on her face. Cooking for her family, especially around the holidays, would bring her much joy. She loved spending time with her husband at their home in the country, especially watching the birds around their pond.

Surviving relatives include her husband Michael B. Hash of Solsberry, her four children, Tanya (Nathan) Hagerty of Bloomington, Nicole (Jason) Hamilton of Solsberry, Tyler (Melanie) Hash of Solsberry, Jacob (Melynne) Hash, six grandchildren, Isaac, Caleb and Allie Hamilton, Mya and Kena Hagerty and Breanna Hash, her four siblings, D. Diana Gibson of Bloomington, Rick Gibson of Bloomington, Catherine Devine of Peru and Debbie Strauss of Swartz Creek, Michigan.

Barbara was preceded in death by a sister, Kimberly Gibson and her parents.

Friends may gather from 2 to 4 P.M. on Friday November 8, 2019 at the Solsberry United Methodist Church.

A Memorial service will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Friday at the Solsberry United Methodist Church with Pastor Matt Whitaker officiating.

The family wishes any memorial donations be made to the Solsberry United Methodist Church or Multiple Myeloma (or any other cancer) research in Barbara’s name.
