Arlene Ruth Puett

Arlene Ruth Puett, 84, of Springville, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at Franciscan Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born March 13, 1941 in Springville, she was the daughter of Frank and Zella Clayton. She was a homemaker and a member of Abundant Life Tabernacle Church in Unionville.

Surviving relatives include: her children, Lisa Harden (Robert); one son, Joe Byers (Terri); a foster son, Carmen Vincent (Christina); one sister, Ruby Baker; her grandchildren, Brittany, Amber, Amanda, David, Levi, Bailey, Kaleigh Brooke, Brandi and Andrea; and her great grandchildren, Steven, Gavin, Millie, Ella Ruth and Cayson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Puett, siblings, John Clayton, Frankie Clayton, Sam Clayton, George Clayton, Joe Clayton, Helen Howell, Rose Baugh, Vi Cullison, Annabelle Hollars, Melva Hoskins and Berthie Murphy.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 9, 2026 at Howell Cemetery in Rural Bloomfield, with Rev. Rob Simpson officiating. There will be no public visitation.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
