Anna Rose Rochelle, age 71, of Worthington, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at Envive of Sullivan, family at her side. She was born in Linton, IN on November 8, 1951, the daughter of Kermit & Virginia (Goodwin) Kruger.

Anna was a 1969 graduate of Worthington-Jefferson High School and attended Indiana University. She was former editor of the Greene County Daily World, former freelance writer for the Herald Times in Bloomington, the owner of the Worthington Times, and was the founder of Greene Streets. She loved to write stories about people and catch their emotion. Her subscribers were her passion. She enjoyed feel-good stories and loved to investigate, being a life-long learner. She also enjoyed local history in Greene County and Worthington. Many years she served as an usher at IU Men's Football and Basketball games. She was a member of the Worthington Christian Church.

She is survived by her children, Elijah Rochelle of Bloomington, Joseph Kruger of Mount Vernon, Virginia Goodman of Paoli, and Kermit Rochelle of Bloomington; and grandchildren, Cannon Kruger, Orion Goodman, Dexter Stephens, Castiel Stephens, Lorelai Stephens, and Jasper Goodman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Gabriel Orion Nugent; and a brother, Stephen Kay Kruger .

Visitation will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, from 12 noon until the time of a sharing of memories service at 2 PM. Burial in Worthington Cemetery will be at a later date.
