Elaine D. Schreier Hunter

Elaine D. Schreier Hunter, 79, of Fishers, IN Passed away on Jan. 23, 2024.

She retired from Boston Scientific, Spencer IN and had been co-owner of the Bloomfield SEARS Catalog store in the 1980’s with her late husband Richard L. Hunter.

She was preceded in death by her Stepfather and mother Edward & Dorothy Simpson Schreier Jakubik of Glenview, IL; her Husband Richard L. Hunter of Bloomfield, IN: her brother Alan Schreier of Spokane, WA; sister-in-law Reba Hunter Floyd of Melbourne, FL; brother-in-law Fred Byers of Bloomington, IN; Son-in-law David F. Guthrie of Speedway, IN, and friend Richard Hart of Worthington, IN.

She is survived by her son Leonard L. Hunter (Megan Runion) of Rushville, IN; daughter Alice Hunter Guthrie of Fishers, IN; Grandchildren: Jamie Skirvin of Bloomington, IN; Scott (Chelsea)Moore of Rushville, IN; Ronnie Skirvin of Bloomington, IN; Carlie (Kyle Herring) Robertson of Rushville, IN; Isaac Guthrie and Emily Guthrie both of Fishers, IN and 7 Great Granddaughters. Her sister Sandra (Fred) Schmidt or Schaumburg, IL; sister-in-law Judy Schreier of NV; sister-in-law Beverly Hunter Byers of Bloomington, IN and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside rites will be performed by Jenkins & Sons Funeral home at 2pm on Friday Jan. 26, 2024, at the Calvertville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org.
