Shad Christopher Collins, age 49, of Dugger, passed away at 12:32 pm on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Sullivan County Community Hospital. He was born in Sullivan, IN on December 9, 1974, the son of Ralph Collins & Victoria (St. John) Collins.

He attended Union High School in Dugger. He previously worked as a carpenter for local 133. He was artistic and enjoyed drawing, painting and tattooing. He enjoyed riding his Harley and was an avid Colts fan. Most especially, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his parents, Ralph Collins of Switz City and Victoria (St. John) Collins of Jasonville; sisters, Shawn Collins of Sullivan and Tara (Josh Bohnert) Helrigel of Switz City; daughters, Keelin Coulter, Isabella Lochbaum and Aubree Collins; nieces and nephews, DeAndra (Ryan) Flynn, Cabe Vest, Emma Helrigel, Addison Sanders, Austin Bohnert and Olivia Bohnert; great nieces and nephews, Aezlinn Flynn, Benjamin Flynn, Noah Flynn and Zaelea Flynn, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his infant son, Shade Collins; nephew, Taryn Collins; niece, Victoria Helrigel; aunt, Kelly Jo Everhart as well as maternal and paternal grandparents.

Funeral service will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 29, 2024 with Dan Dyer officiating. Burial will follow at Woodward Cemetery in Dugger.

Visitation will be held on Monday from 12 noon until the time of service.
