New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday, July 1, 2026:

June 29, 4:08 p.m., Austin Dean Holmes, 29, Linton, was arrested on a warrant for invasion of privacy. No bond was allowed.

June 30, 1:24 p.m., Sean Tyler Mink, 35, Denver, Co., was arrested on a warrant for public nudity, resisting law enforcement using a vehicle, and interfering with public safety. His bond was set at $5,500 surety with 10% cash allowed. He was released after posting $550.

June 30, 2:06 p.m., Ronald Wade Helton, 35, Jasonville, was arrested on a preliminary charge of possession of methamphetamine. No bond was allowed.

June 30, 2:07 p.m., Samantha Lyn Shidler, 27, Linton, was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of stolen property, possession of paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana. No bond was allowed.

June 30, 2:08 p.m., Herbert Lee Piker, 56, Linton, was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia. No bond was allowed.

June 30, 2:30 p.m., Kelly Ray Whiting, 47, Portage, was arrested on two warrants. The first was for battery on a person less than 14 years old and providing obscene material to minors. The second was for strangulation. No bond was allowed for either warrant.

June 30, 11:59 p.m., Ryan Jacob Major, 30, Scotland, was arrested on a preliminary charge of driving while suspended with a prior conviction within 10 years. His bond was set at $1,000 surety with 10% cash allowed.
