New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Friday, June 12, 2026:

June 11, 9:02 p.m., Shania Michelle Simpson, 29, Lyons, was arrested on a warrant for disorderly conduct. Her bond was set at $5,000 surety with 10% cash allowed. 

June 12, 6:01 a.m., Caleb A. Parker, 20, Jasonville, was arrested on preliminary charges of domestic battery in the presence of a child less than 16 years of age, interfering in the reporting of a crime, and confinement. No bond was allowed.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
