New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday, June 12, 2024:

June 11, 9:41 AM, Larry Wayne Workman, 61, Jasonville, was arrested on preliminary charges of intimidation with a deadly weapon, resisting law enforcement with two prior convictions, and refusal to aid an officer. His bond was set at $21,500 surety with 10% cash allowed. Greene County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Zach Mead was the arresting officer. 

June 11, 9:21 PM, Joshua Adam Sargent, 41, Sandborn, was arrested on a warrant for possession of methamphetamine. No bond was allowed. Greene County Sheriff’s Department Special Deputy Trista Myers was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
