New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2024:

Jan. 23, 11:07 AM, Wynter Lee Hale, 30, Dugger, was arrested on a warrant for operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a passenger less than 18 years of age. No bond was allowed. Greene County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Anthony Adcock was the arresting officer.

Jan. 23, 11:50 AM, Carl Troy Romine, 54, Linton, was arrested on a warrant for possession of cocaine or a narcotic drug and operating a motor vehicle without ever receiving a license. No bond was allowed. Linton Police Department Officer JR Blazier was the arresting officer. 

Jan. 24, 7:17 AM, Joshua Wayne Thompson, 44, Merom, was arrested on a warrant for dealing methamphetamine and possession of marijuana/hash oil/hashish/salvia. No bond was allowed. Greene County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Anthony Adcock was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
