New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Tuesday, April 11, 2023:

April 11, 2023, 12:11 AM, Christopher Lee Pilant, 50, Jasonville, Indiana, was arrested on a new preliminary charge of misdemeanor domestic battery. His bond was set at $1000 surety with 10% cash allowed. Linton Police Officer Alan Jackson was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
