New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday, January 19, 2022:

January 18, 2022, 1:05 p.m. – Chelsey Brooke Ferree, 31, Switz City, Ind., was arrested on a new preliminary charge of felony domestic battery in the presence of a child less than 16 years old. Her bond was set at $4,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy James Carpenter was the arresting officer.

January 18, 2022, 9:52 p.m. – Heather Nicole Piatt, 39, Linton, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued out of another state for a probation violation. She was being held without bond. Linton Police Officer Bobby Pierce was the arresting officer.

January 19, 2022, 1:49 a.m. – Tamara Renae Smith, 54, Linton, Ind., was arrested on new preliminary charges of felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of marijuana. She was being held without bond pending court appearance. Linton Police Officer Bobby Pierce was the arresting officer.

January 19, 2022, 5:41 a.m. – Paul Robert Pearson, 55, Linton, Ind., was arrested on new preliminary charges of misdemeanor driving while suspended with a prior within 10 years and possession of paraphernalia. His bond was set at $1,500 surety with ten percent cash allowed. Linton Police Officer Janzen Franklin was the arresting officer.

January 19, 2022, 8:53 a.m. – Jason Michael Hays, 40, Linton, Ind., was booked into jail on a work release violation in a case involving felony operating a vehicle while intoxicated causing death. He was being held without bond.
