New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Monday, May 17, 2021:

May 14, 6:20 a.m. – Jan Michael Pfaff, 42, Switz City, Ind., was arrested on new preliminary charges of felony possession of methamphetamine and possession of syringe, and misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and visiting a common nuisance. He was being held without bond pending court appearance. Linton Police Officer Bobby Pierce was the arresting officer. Note: Pfaff was on Friday’s Jail Log but a mug shot and information on charges, bond and arresting officer was not available at that time.

May 14, 5:31 p.m. – Michael Lee Veatch, 65, Bloomfield, Ind., was arrested on new preliminary charges of felony operating a motor vehicle while being an habitual traffic violator and misdemeanor possession of marijuana. His bond was set at $4,500 surety with ten percent cash allowed. He posted $450 and was released later the same day. Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy Jordan Allor was the arresting officer.

May 14, 11:55 p.m. – Greg Thomas Beckham, 47, Pendelton, Ind., was arrested on new preliminary charges of misdemeanor operating a vehicle while intoxicated with endangerment and operating a vehicle while intoxicated. His bond was set at $4,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. He posted $400 and was released on May 15. Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy Michael Coy was the arresting officer.

May 15, 9:01 p.m. – Matthew Jordan Young, 25, Bloomfield, Ind., was arrested on a new preliminary charge of misdemeanor invasion of privacy. He was being held without bond. Indiana State Police Trooper Ben Burris was the arresting officer.

May 15, 11:52 p.m. – Benjamin Cody Escobedo, 28, Bloomfield, Ind., was arrested on a new preliminary charge of misdemeanor driving while suspended with a prior within 10 years. His bond was set at $1,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. He posted $100 and was released on May 16. Worthington Deputy Marshal Ryan Montgomery was the arresting officer.

May 16, 9:00 p.m. – William Wayne Lacer, 41, Linton, Ind., was arrested on new preliminary charges of felony battery against a public safety official, intimidation and disarming a law enforcement officer, and misdemeanor disorderly conduct and resisting law enforcement. His bond was set at $23,500 surety with ten percent cash allowed. Linton Police Officer Adam King was the arresting officer.

May 16, 10:26 p.m. – Gary Dale Deckard, 62, Bloomfield, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued on preliminary charges of felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia. He was being held without bond pending court appearance. Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy Michael Coy was the arresting officer.
