New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Thursday, January 28, 2021:

January 27, 3:26 p.m. – Erik Keith Tosti, 43, Linton, Ind., was arrested on new preliminary charges of felony possession of methamphetamine and obstruction of justice, and misdemeanor resisting law enforcement. He was being held without bond pending court appearance. Linton Police Officer Adam King was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
