New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department:

  • September 12 – Troy Lee Tindell, 50, Owensburg, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued on preliminary charges of felony child molesting. His bond was set at $95,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. Greene County Sheriff’s Det. Sgt. James O’Malley was the arresting officer.

  • September 12 – Tammy Renae Hestand, 49, Bloomfield, Ind., was arrested on a preliminary charge of misdemeanor operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Her bond was set at $4,000 surety with ten percent allowed. She was released on September 13 after posting $400 cash. Bloomfield Deputy Marshal Wayman JR Blazier was the arresting officer.

  • September 13 – Morgan Renee Turner, 23, Linton, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued on preliminary charges of misdemeanor criminal mischief and interfering with the reporting of a crime. Her bond was set at $5,000 surety with ten percent allowed. She was released later the same day after posting $500 cash. Linton Police Officer John Agan was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
