New arrests on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department:

  • June 27 – Gabriel Austin Welder, 19, Newburgh, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued on preliminary charges of misdemeanor carrying a handgun without a license and possession of marijuana. His bond was set at $5,000 surety with ten percent allowed. He was released later the same day after posting $500 cash. Greene County Jail Officer Darren McDonald was the arresting officer.
  • June 27 – Shannon R. Sullivan, 34, Solsberry, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued on preliminary charges of misdemeanor criminal mischief and felony contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Her bond was set at $4,000 surety with ten percent allowed. She was released later the same day after posting $400 cash. Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy David Elmore was the arresting officer.
  • June 28 – Andrew Charles Damron, 24, Linton, Ind., was arrested on preliminary charges of felony intimidation, strangulation and battery against a public safety official, and misdemeanor disorderly conduct and resisting law enforcement. His bond was set at $27,500 surety with ten percent allowed. Linton Police Officer John Agan was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
