/New arrests on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department:
- May 18 – Shawn M. Forsythe, 18, Jasonville, Ind., was arrested on a preliminary charge of misdemeanor domestic battery. His bond was set at $1,000 surety with ten percent allowed. Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy Davis Aerne was the arresting officer.
- May 19 – Joshua A. Haefeker, 35, Spencer, Ind., was arrested on a preliminary charge of misdemeanor driving while suspended – second offense. His bond was set at $1,000 surety with ten percent allowed. He was released on May 20 after posting bond. Worthington Deputy Marshal Russell Walls was the arresting officer.
- May 19 – Kenneth Dale Eberhardt, 42, Dugger, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued for failure to appear in a pending case involving felony dealing methamphetamine. He was being held without bond. Linton Police Detective Paul Clark was the arresting officer.
- May 20 – Mark A. Barker, 54, Springville, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued for failure to appear in a pending case involving misdemeanor harboring of a non-immunized dog. His bond was set at $5,000 surety with ten percent allowed. Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy Alan Jackson was the arresting officer.
- May 20 – Travis Lee Jones, 23, Linton, Ind., was arrested on preliminary charges of felony criminal confinement and strangulation, and misdemeanor battery. His bond was set at $15,000 surety with ten percent allowed. Linton Police Officer Nick Yingling was the arresting officer.
- May 20 – Janmichael Pfaff, 39, Switz City, Ind., was arrested on a Writ of Attachment. His bond was set at $700 cash only. He was released later the same day after posting bond. Greene County Jail Officer H. Wood was the arresting officer.
- May 21 – Paul Aidan Jones, 26, Dugger, Ind., was arrested on a preliminary charge of felony being an habitual traffic offender. His bond was set at $4,000 surety with ten percent allowed. Linton Police Officer Orry Phipps was the arresting officer.
Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
