New arrests on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department:

  • February 7 – Dante Gordan, 19, Linton, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued on a preliminary charge of misdemeanor criminal mischief. He was being held without bond. Linton Police Officer Debbie McDonald-Miller was the arresting officer.
  • February 7 – Daniel Wayne Clark, 33, Linton, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued on a preliminary charge of failure to register by a sex or violent offender. He was being held without bond. Linton Police Officer Debbie McDonald-Miller was the arresting officer.
  • February 7 – Jeffrey Lewis Wright, 60, Bloomfield, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued on preliminary charges of three counts of felony failure to register as a sex or violent offender and one misdemeanor count of failure to register. His bond was set at $19,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. He was released on February 7 after posting bond. Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy Anthony Pope was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
