New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department:

  • October 15, 2:20 p.m. – Christopher Alan Weaver, 40, Bloomington, Ind., was arrested on preliminary charges of felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia. He was also wanted on a warrant issued out of Monroe County in a case involving misdemeanor resisting law enforcement and two Writs of Attachment also issued out of Monroe County. He was being held without bond. Indiana State Police Trooper Caleb Garvin was the arresting officer.

  • October 16, 12:15 a.m. – Austin Christopher Feltner, 22, Solsberry, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued on preliminary charges of felony child molesting. His bond was set at $30,000 surety with ten percent allowed. He was released later the same day after posting $3,000 cash. Greene County Jail Officer Steve Dobson was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
