INDIANAPOLIS – Governor Eric J. Holcomb is directing flags across the state to be flown at half-staff Tuesday to honor John Paul Stevens, retired Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States.

Read MoreThe National Weather Service (NWS) sent storm survey crews out on Sunday, June 16, and is expected to conduct additional surveys today, Monday, June 17, to assess the damage from a widespread tornado outbreak that occurred Saturday evening, June 15. This post contains the public information statement released by NWS late Sunday on their preliminary findings and damage survey on all five tornadoes. According to NWS, the Greene County Tornado was an EF-2 with wind speeds up to 130 mph, a path up to 400 yards wide that touched down in a 3.52 mile swath. It touched down at an estimated time of 6:56 p.m. and ended at 7 p.m.

The Ellettsville Police Department is investigating the disappearance of Rhea J. Weaver, a 70 year old white female, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 159 pounds, brown hair with brown eyes, last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, jeans, may be wearing glasses, and driving a white 2009 Honda CRV 4 door SUV with Indiana plate 908VAU.
Rhea is missing from Bloomington, Indiana which is 56 miles southwest of Indianapolis and was last seen on Monday, April 29, 2019 at 12:00 pm. She is believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical assistance.

Flags should be flown at half-staff from now until sunset on the day of his funeral, which has not yet been announced. Gov. Holcomb also asks businesses and residents to lower their flags to half-staff as well to honor former U.S. Sen. Lugar.
