Tornado sirens to be tested

Assuming the forecasted weather holds, the Linton Police Department will conduct a quarterly test of its Tornado Warning Sirens/System at 1 p.m. today, June 2, in Linton and Lyons.

During a severe weather emergency, the Linton Police Department would activate the Warning Sirens in the event of a TORNADO WARNING (issued by the National Weather Service) or, a tornado or funnel cloud reported by a trained tornado spotter.
