White River Valley School Corporation is accepting applications from community members interested in filling a vacancy on its Board of School Trustees.

The vacancy is for the District 5/Jefferson Township 1 seat. The district is asking interested candidates to submit applications as soon as possible so the board can appoint a new member within 30 days of the vacancy.

According to information released by the school corporation, applicants must be at least 18 years old, be a legal resident of District 5/Jefferson Township 1, be a registered voter and not currently be employed by the school district. Applicants must also meet all other legal eligibility requirements for serving on a public school board.

Applications are available through the school corporation's website or by contacting the superintendent's office. Completed applications may be emailed to bhostetter@wrv.k12.in.us or delivered to the superintendent's office at 5644 W. State Road 54, Switz City.
