A warrant was issued today for the arrest of a man connected to a suspected meth dealer who was arrested last week. He allegedly was living in the house with the suspect, was present when methamphetamine was sold, was in possession of methamphetamine and used the same paraphernalia as the suspect.

Stephen E. Love, 43, Linton, is wanted on preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony, and possession of paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor.

A criminal case was filed against Love in Greene Superior Court today, Monday, July 15, and the arrest warrant was also issued today.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed in his case, Love was living in the same residence as Mallory Michele Frye, 30, Linton, who was arrested early Sunday, July 9. She was taken into custody by an investigator working with the Greene County Drug Task Force and booked into the Greene County Jail around 3 a.m.

Frye had been under an ongoing investigation by the Task Force and she’s accused of selling methamphetamine out of her residence. After gathering information and evidence of alleged transactions that occurred this month, officers were granted a search warrant for Frye’s residence.

In the wee hours of Sunday, July 9, when the search warrant was executed, officers reported finding a substantial quantity of a substance that tested positive as methamphetamine, a fungus-type material that appeared to be psilocybin mushrooms, various items of paraphernalia, digital scales, packaging material and ledgers containing records of transactions.

Frye was also located at the residence along with her child. No information has been released regarding the child but Frye was arrested and transported to the sheriff’s department where she was held without bond pending her appearance in court.

When Frye appeared in Greene Superior Court on Wednesday, July 10, she was charged with:

Dealing in methamphetamine or delivery of methamphetamine in an amount of 10 or more grams, a Level 2 felony.
Dealing in methamphetamine between five and ten grams with an enhancing circumstance, a Level 2 felony.

Frye’s criminal history includes a conviction in Vigo County just this past February for another Level 2 felony dealing in methamphetamine in an amount of 10 grams or more.

Under the terms of a negotiated plea agreement, several other counts were dismissed and she plead guilty to that one felony.

She was sentenced on February 25 to 16 years in prison with three of those years to be served on home detention through Greene County Community Corrections. The remaining 13 years were suspended but following her detention, she was to serve six years on formal probation and seven years on informal probation. At the time of sentencing, she was given credit for 199 actual days already served.

Following her arrest by the Greene County Drug Task Force this week, a petition to revoke her suspended sentence in the Vigo County case was filed and Vigo County issued a warrant for her arrest.

In addition, when she appeared in court in Greene County this week, Superior Judge Dena Martin set Frye’s bond in the Greene County case at $100,000 cash in full with no ten percent allowed.

In Love’s case, the investigator says there is evidence that Love was present during the alleged transactions, and evidence of him using the same items of paraphernalia used to ingest methamphetamine as Frye, and that those items contained residue believed to be methamphetamine.
