Voting now open in Linton's patriotic decorating contest

As the nation prepares to celebrate America's 250th birthday, residents now have the opportunity to vote for their favorite patriotic displays as part of Linton's Residential and Commercial Decorating Contest.

The contest, organized in conjunction with the Linton Freedom Festival, is helping the community celebrate the nation's semiquincentennial while showcasing local pride and creativity.

Voting is now open and will continue through June 28.

Community members can vote for their favorite displays by scanning the QR codes posted at participating locations.

Winners will be announced during the Golf Cart, ATV and Side-by-Side Parade on June 29.

Organizers hope the contest helps create a festive atmosphere throughout the city while highlighting the pride residents have in both their community and country.

"Let's show our pride. Let's celebrate freedom. Let's make Linton shine," Anderson said.
