Walk & Talk program encourages connection, education for parents and caregivers

Expectant parents, moms, and caregivers are invited to join a weekly walking group that promotes healthy living, education, and community connections.

Greene County General Hospital's Healthy Start Communities That Care program is hosting its "Walk & Talk" series every Thursday at 9 a.m. through Sept. 24 at Humphreys Park in Linton.

Participants will meet near the tennis courts at the park, located at 1300 A St. NW. Organizers say the program offers a casual opportunity for parents and caregivers to walk together while receiving educational information and community resources each week.

Children are welcome to attend, and strollers and wagons are encouraged.

Participants are asked to bring their own water and sun protection. Weather-related updates will be posted on Greene County General Hospital's Facebook page.

The free program is open to expectant parents, moms and caregivers throughout the community.
