VIGO COUNTY, Ind. - On Thursday, August 9, at approximately 9:45 p.m., Vigo County Sheriff’s Deputy McBride was on routine patrol in Southern Vigo County when he observed a gray S40 Volvo passenger car traveling Southbound on US Highway 41, just south of Dallas Drive.
Deputy McBride observed the vehicle to be spontaneously shifting lanes without using the required turn signals indicating a lane change, and the Indiana license plate displayed did not match the vehicle he was following.
Mallory Frye
Deputy McBride attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle southbound on US 41, however, the vehicle continued traveling southbound on US 41 before turning eastbound onto Harlan Drive.
The vehicle then accelerated through the parking lot of the Country Mark gas station located at 9950 South US 41. The vehicle's path was halted by a series of trees. Deputy McBride was able to successfully detain one male occupant before the driver, who was observed as a white female, exited the driver's side of the vehicle and fled on foot.
Deputy McBride pursued the female on foot through an open field just east of the Country Mark gas station where the female was taken into custody. The driver was later identified as Mallory M. Frye, of Jasonville.
It was learned that Mallory Frye was a wanted person out of Greene County on a Level 6 felony for possession of methamphetamine.
Wesley Harris
During a search of Mallory Frye and her belongings, approximately 14 small individually sealed baggies with suspected methamphetamine was located. The methamphetamine had a preliminary gross weight of 49.1 grams.
Mallory Frye was also found to be in possession of a large amount of cash and smoking pipes. Deputies learned that Mallory Frye did not possess a valid driver's license and was suspended on a regular identification card.
The male passenger was later identified as Wesley W. Harris, of Jasonville.

Mallory Frye was transported to the Vigo County Jail where she was held on the following charges:
Dealing in Methamphetamine, a Level 3 Felony,
Possession of Methamphetamine, a Level 5 Felony,
Resisting Law Enforcement, a Level 6 Felony,
Resisting Law Enforcement, a Class A Misdemeanor,
Neglect of a Dependent, a Level 6 Felony,
Possession of Paraphernalia, a Class C Misdemeanor, and
Driving While Suspended-Prior, a Class A Misdemeanor.
Harris was transported to the Vigo County Jail and held on charges of:
Dealing in Methamphetamine, a Level 3 Felony,
Possession of Methamphetamine, a Level 5 Felony, and
Possession of Paraphernalia, a Class C Misdemeanor.

She was born on February 9, 1941 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Max Earl and Cordy ‘Berti’ (Lashbrook) Hopkins. Micki married the love of her life, Jerry D. Church on October 11, 1959.
Justin David Sprang, age 20, of Linton, passed away due to an accident, at 8:45 PM on Saturday, February 22, 2025. Justin was born, along with his twin brother Jared, on December 21, 2004, the son of David Michael and Shelley Ann (Fisher) Sprang.
