Three injured in two-vehicle crash west of Linton late Friday afternoon
/Three people were injured in a crash involving two vehicles shortly before 5 p.m. Friday on State Road 54 west of Linton at Atlas Road/County Road 1375 West.
Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy Kelly Hutchens reported the crash occurred at 4:55 p.m. on Friday, October 29, at the intersection of West State Road 54 and County Road 1375 West, also known as Atlas Road, west of Linton.
Joshua Anderson, 41, Jasonville, was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu southbound on CR 1375 West with a juvenile passenger on board. Nicholas Parr, 59, Dugger, was westbound on State Road 54, driving a 2016 Dodge Ram with one passenger, Lisa Parr, 57, on board.
Deputy Hutchens reported when Anderson’s car entered the intersection, the front of Parr’s truck hit the engine compartment of Anderson’s car on the driver’s side.
Anderson was transported to Greene County General Hospital by Greene County Rescue and his juvenile passenger was transported to Greene County General Hospital by the Greene County Ambulance Service.
Nicholas Parr was not reported to be injured but Lisa Parr was transported by personal vehicle to Greene County General Hospital.
The nature or extent of the injuries was not released.
Deputy Hutchens said the roadway was closed from 4:55 p.m. until 5:23 p.m. then it was down to one open lane from 5:23 p.m. until 5:35 p.m.
In addition to personnel from the Greene County Sheriff’s Department, Greene County Rescue and Greene County Ambulance Service, personnel responded to assist on the scene from the Linton Police Department, Linton Fire Department and Dan’s Auto Service.
