Megan Elizabeth George, 27, Bloomfield, was arrested by Deputy Marshal Wayman JR Blazier of the Bloomfield Police Department yesterday, Sunday, December 12.

Officer Blazier was dispatched yesterday after a man called Greene County Dispatch and reported his sister, Megan George, had hit him and bit him. When he arrived at a residence, he found George sitting on a side porch. She allegedly said she had gotten into a fight with her brother and when she went to unplug the television so he couldn’t use it, he grabbed the cords out of her hand and pushed her against the wall. She allegedly admitted she then bit him.

The brother and other witnesses at the residence told a slightly different story.

The brother told Officer Blazier that when he grabbed the cords from George, she scratched him and tore his shirt then bit him on a forearm. He said he did not push her or hit her. Photographs were taken of his injuries.

One witness confirmed the brother did not push or hit George. Another witness said she did see George bite the brother.

While on the scene, Officer Blazier determined a baby was awake and sitting in a swing next to the television when the incident occurred.

George was taken into custody and transported to the Greene County Jail where her bond was set at $4,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. As of late Monday, she had not posted bond and was still in jail.

George is facing a criminal charge of battery resulting in bodily injury, a Class A misdemeanor.
