Shelburn man arrested after allegedly exposing himself at bus stop
/A 26-year-old Shelburn man is facing multiple felony charges after authorities say he exposed himself to two juveniles at a Jasonville bus stop on May 12.
According to a probable cause affidavit filed in Greene County court, the incident was reported Tuesday morning near the intersection of South Huffman Street and State Road 48 in Jasonville. Police allege two middle school-aged girls were waiting for the school bus when a man, later identified as Nathaniel Crowe, driving a black passenger car stopped and asked for directions to Shakamak.
Investigators said the girls told officers the driver motioned for them to approach the vehicle and exposed himself before driving away eastbound on State Road 48. One juvenile became emotional while recounting the incident to investigators, according to court documents.
Police reviewed surveillance footage and Flock camera data from the area and identified a black Chevrolet Sonic allegedly connected to the investigation. Court records state the vehicle was traced to a Shelburn couple, and investigators later interviewed Nathaniel Crowe at the Linton Police Department.
During the interview, investigators allege Crowe initially denied speaking with the juveniles before later admitting he stopped and called the girls over to his vehicle. According to the affidavit, Crowe eventually admitted he intentionally exposed himself, allegedly telling investigators he thought the act would be “funny.”
A warrant was issued for his arrest on May 14. He was arrested the same day. Crowe faces charges of public nudity, public indecency, and dissemination of matter harmful to minors.
Authorities also noted in the affidavit that Crowe previously had been convicted of public nudity in Sullivan County in 2025.
He is scheduled to appear in Greene Superior Court on June 8 for an initial hearing.
