The Freedom Festival Committee is proud to announce Shaylie Killion as this year’s Freedom Festival Ambassador, recognizing her outstanding leadership, athletic achievement, and commitment to the Linton community.

A recent graduate of Linton-Stockton High School, Killion made her mark as a standout member of the Miner track and field program. She qualified for the IHSAA State Finals in the 400-meter dash after setting a new LSHS school record, a milestone that reflects her dedication, discipline, and competitive spirit.

Killion is widely known as a multisport athlete, competing not only in track but also in tennis and serving as a kicker for the LSHS Miner football team, where she broke barriers and inspired younger athletes across the district.

This fall, she will head to Indiana University, ready to take on new challenges and continue building on the strong foundation she created in Linton.

The Freedom Festival is honored to have Shaylie serve as Ambassador and invites the community to join in celebrating her accomplishments during this year’s festivities.
