Linton Police Department investigating homicide

The Linton Police Department has been investigating a murder since at least mid-day yesterday and has released limited information.

The LPD received a report yesterday, March 18, about a man at an abandoned house in southeast Linton and responded. Officers found the man was deceased and surrounded by suspicious circumstances.

The investigation is ongoing and the LPD says additional details are being withheld at this time for investigative purposes.

The identity of the victim is not being released until next-of-kin are notified.

The LPD urges everyone, when posting to social media, to please respect the fact that the decedent’s family may not be aware of this tragic news.
