Linton man arrested in homicide investigation
/A Linton man has been arrested in connection with a homicide investigation following a residential fire early Saturday morning.
Brandon Adam Christopher Lee Criss, 39, Linton, was booked into the Greene County Jail at 7:05 a.m. on June 8 on a preliminary charge of murder. He is being held without bond.
According to a press release from the LPD, Linton police and fire personnel responded to a house fire on D Street Southeast around 12:20 a.m. Emergency crews discovered the body of a deceased male inside the residence. The victim’s name is not being released at this time.
“The Linton Fire Department quickly suppressed the fire, and the Linton Police Department established the scene as a crime scene,” the release stated.
LPD Officer Cade Herndon and Detective Logan Hobbs acted on initial information and located Criss at a local gas station.
The investigation is ongoing, and the LPD continues to assist the ISP.
