Residents are invited to mark their calendars for Greene County National Night Out, an evening dedicated to strengthening relationships between law enforcement and the community. The event will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, at Humphreys Park in Linton.

Hosted by the Greene County Alliance and the Linton Police Department, National Night Out is part of a nationwide campaign that promotes police-community partnerships, neighborhood connections and public safety.

The family-friendly event will feature opportunities to meet local law enforcement officers, firefighters and EMS personnel, along with community resource vendors, children's activities, games, giveaways, food, and refreshments.

Organizers are also seeking sponsors, community partners, resource vendors, and in-kind donations to help make this year's event a success.
