An Elnora woman was arrested early Monday after a Greene County sheriff’s deputy reported observing a vehicle traveling at inconsistent speeds on State Road 67.

Lee Ann Tribby, 62, was arrested at 2:29 a.m. Sept. 21 on preliminary misdemeanor charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and operating a vehicle with a Schedule I or II controlled substance or its metabolite in the blood.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Deputy Dylan Strauser observed a Chevrolet Malibu traveling between 30 and 45 mph, braking for no apparent reason and then accelerating. Strauser initiated a traffic stop near County Road 700 South at approximately 2:05 a.m.

Strauser reported that Tribby’s speech was slurred. Tribby attributed her speech and difficulty walking to medical conditions and injuries from a previous vehicle accident.

Tribby allegedly acknowledged that she would likely test positive for methamphetamine and declined a chemical test. Deputies obtained a search warrant for a blood draw, which was completed at Greene County General Hospital. The affidavit did not include the laboratory results.

Tribby was booked into the Greene County Jail. Her bond was set at $4,000 surety with 10% cash allowed.

She was scheduled to appear in court for an initial hearing on Sept. 22
