Eastern Heights to begin hydrant flushing

Eastern Heights will begin hydrant flushing in Bloomfield and Worthington on April 20. Customers may experience lower than normal water pressure and discolored water during this time. Flushing in the rural areas will be done in the following weeks.

Flushing is done every 6 months to remove sediment that builds up over time. It is also when hydrants are checked for proper operation and future maintenance and repairs are planned.
