Boil advisory issued for entire City of Linton following water main break

The City of Linton has issued a boil advisory for all water customers following a water main break that impacted pressure throughout the system.

According to city officials, the water main burst and caused a system-wide pressure issue. Crews are working to catch up with pump operations and repair the break as quickly as possible.

As a precaution, all residents and businesses served by the Linton water system are under a boil advisory until further notice.

During the advisory, customers are encouraged to bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute before using it for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, making ice, or preparing food.

City officials will provide additional updates as repairs are completed and testing determines when the advisory can be lifted.
