Attempted murder suspect in custody after being detained by Jasonville residents
/Dustin Turley, 33, Jasonville, is in custody. Turley was wanted for attempted murder following a shooting incident that occurred in Hymera late Friday night. Turley apparently arrived in Jasonville this afternoon, Sunday, August 2, where he was detained by local residents who contacted the Greene County Sheriff’s Department. Turley has been booked into the Sullivan County Jail where his bond is set at $50,000 cash only.

Attempted Murder Suspect in Custody
SULLIVAN COUNTY, IN - On Sunday, August 2, 2020, just after 3:30 PM, Sullivan County deputies had been searching the Hymera area in an effort to locate wanted for attempted murder suspect Dustin Turley.
While officers were in the area, a tip was called in that Turley had just left the area on a motorcycle.
Within minutes, Greene County 911 received a call that Turley had just arrived at a residence in Jasonville, and the residents there were detaining him.
Both Greene and Sullivan County deputies immediately responded to to the residence where Turley was taken into custody.
Sullivan County Deputy David Holmes transported Turley to the Sullivan County Jail where he is being held for Attempted Murder ~ $50,000. cash only bond.
The Indiana State Police will continue to serve as the lead agency on the investigation.
All persons accused of a crime are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
