Asphalt resurface projects to begin April 3 in Owen County

OWEN COUNTY, Ind.— Indiana Department of Transportation contractor E&B Paving Inc. plans to begin work next week on a $5.3 million asphalt resurface contract in Owen County.

Beginning on or after Monday, April 3 motorists should anticipate lane closures from 7a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, on State Road 43 between S.R. 48 and S.R. 46. The project will be completed under flagging operations as crews work to complete asphalt patching, milling and paving.

Asphalt resurface work is also anticipated to begin in June on S.R. 46 between Ellettsville and Spencer.

The contract was awarded to E&B Paving Inc. in February and is expected to be complete this fall. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, avoid distractions, and consider worker safety when traveling through active construction zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
