Willard named new Lyons Town Marshal

During a special meeting on Jan. 20, the Town of Lyons appointed a Greene County native as its new town marshal.

Chandler Willard is a Greene County native originally from Midland, and a 2014 graduate of Linton-Stockton High School. He brings more than a decade of law enforcement experience to the position, including prior service with the Indiana Department of Correction.

In addition to his new role in Lyons, Willard currently serves as a police officer with the Worthington Police Department and the Greene County General Hospital Police Department.

Willard is a graduate of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy, Class 2024-33, where he received the Academic Award for earning the highest overall academic average in his class with a score of 97.3%.

As town marshal, Willard will patrol approximately 20 to 25 hours per week within the town limits of Lyons.
