William "Wes" Wesley Smith, age 37, of Linton, passed away peacefully at 10:35 am on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at Deaconess Hospital Midtown in Evansville. He was born in Indianapolis, IN on December 13, 1986, the son of Billy Edward Smith & Debbie (Crouch) Souders.

He was an avid music lover and also loved to do comedy shows. He loved making people laugh. He will be truly missed by his loving family and friends.

Wes is survived by his mother and step father, Debbie & Tony Souders of Linton; sister, Stevie Christian of Indianapolis; nephew, Izaiah Samm; niece, Ellie Christian; aunts, Terri Hewitt and Michele Marshall; cousins, Morgan Swafford, Lezah Swafford and Wade Swafford as well as his best friend who was like a brother, Kyle Ellis.

He was preceded in death by his father; paternal grandparents and maternal grandparents.

A party in Wes' honor will be held at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton.
