Marie Christine Hubbert, age 103, of Linton, passed away peacefully at 11:16 am on Friday, July 12, 2024, at Springhill Village in Terre Haute. She was born in Leona, TN on February 11, 1921, the daughter of William Edward & Emma Florence (Bullard) Cordes.

She was a wonderful homemaker who loved taking care of the children. She loved spending time with her family and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.

Christine is survived by her daughters, Elsie Jean Lynch of Terre Haute and Betty Ruth Gonzales of Port O'Connor, Texas; grandchildren, Lisa Zamarripa-Mathena, Mark (Teresa) Mathna, Lori (Doug) Miller, Angela Chisolm, David Lynch and Kevin Mathena as well as several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard Reece Hubbert; sons-in-law, Chuck Lynch and John Gonzales one sister and seven brothers.

Funeral service will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 with Seth Wiram officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Lyons.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 am until the time of service.
