Phyllis Maxine Drake

Phyllis Maxine Drake, 80, of Bloomfield, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024 at her residence.

Born December 25, 1943 in Linton, she was the daughter of Norval Dewey and Esther June (Abrams) Norris.

Phyllis was a CSR Insurance agent for First Security Insurance and attended the Little Country Church in rural Bloomfield.

Surviving relatives include: her daughters, Elizabeth Ann Fisher (Jimmy), Victoria June Drake, Cynthia Jo Vandeventer (Bobby) and Tracy Maxine Parks (Rusty); a daughter-in-law, Denise Marie Cating; seventeen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren; three brothers, Jackie Wayne Norris, Terry Dean Norris and Timmy Jo Norris; three step daughters, Anita Louise, June Loretta and Carol Lillian.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wayne Drake on February 5, 2014, her sons, Monty, Wayne Drake and Wesley Matthew Drake, one brother, Dewey Eugene Norris and a step daughter, Shannon Lorene.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, February 16, 2024 at the Word of Life Fellowship Church in rural Bloomfield, with Rev. Jerry Gholson and Rev. Eugene Helms officiating. Interment will follow in Newark Cemetery.

Public visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Friday at the Word of Life Fellowship Church.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to Jenkins Funeral home to help defray the cost of final expenses.
