Nellie Ann Wilcoxen
/Nellie Ann (Parkes) Wilcoxen, 90, passed away peacefully with her family and caring nursing staff by her side on Saturday December 14, 2019 at the Bloomington Nursing & Rehab. Born February 5, 1929 in Seymour, Texas the daughter of Bert Lee Parkes and Ruth Charlette (Collins) Parkes.
Nellie was married to Ronnie Lee Wilcoxen, her beloved husband of 47 years.
Nellie worked at Crane Naval Base and served on the Board of Directors for Farm Bureau, she taught lessons on nutrition in local grade schools.
Survivors include her son Ronald Lee Burcham and daughter-in-law Doris Burcham of Mitchell, a step-daughter, Regina (Wilcoxen) Wienamann of McDonough, Georgia; six grandchildren, Cheryl (Andrew) Deavers, Pamela Burcham, Wesley (Megan) Burcham, Dustin Turpin, Justice Turpin, Crestan Turpin, six great grandchildren, one sister, Mary Florence (Paul) Lester, one brother Donald Leroy (Ellen) Parkes and her brother-in-law Gene Spurgeon.
Nellie was preceded in death by her husband Ronnie Lee Wilcoxen, daughter, Lea Ann Burcham, step-son Randy Lee Wilcoxen, eight brothers, William Jarrett Parkes, James Lee Parkes, Stanley Elwood Parkes, Robert Anco Parkes, Charles Franklin Parkes, Joseph Walter Parkes, Bert Lee Parkes, Jr; John Edward Parkes, one sister Susan Belle Parkes and her parents.
Friends may call from 4 to 6 P.M. on Monday December 23, 2019 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Old Salem Cemetery on Crane Naval Base.
