Mildred Marie (Schroeder) Duzan

Mildred Marie (Schroeder) Duzan, 103, of Bloomfield passed away Friday January 19, 2024 at Glenburn in Linton.

Born December 14, 1920 in Westphalia, Indiana the daughter of Louis John Schroeder and Lena (Sander) Schroeder.

Mildred was a homemaker; she had worked 25 years in dairy testing as a supervisor. Mildred graduated from Sandborn High School, she was a 75-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, she joined in 1949 in Plainville; transferring later to Solsberry, she served as a District Deputy and Grand Rep, she was also a member of the Greene County Extension Homemakers, the American Legion Auxiliary Post 450 in Solsberry and the Bloomfield First Christian Church.

Surviving relatives include her son, Jeff (Coelia) Duzan, daughter-in-law, Jane Duzan, grandchildren, Tammi (John) Dixon, Adam (Brad Root) Duzan, her great grandchildren, Devin Breneman, Mikyle Duzan, Nicole Duzan, Patrick Dixon, Mary Dixon, two great-great grandchildren, one brother, Paul Schroeder, two sisters, Helen Parkes and Carolyn Joan Schenler and several nieces and nephews.

Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Franklin “Abe” Duzan on May 25, 1981; two sons, David and John Duzan, two grandsons, Mike and Nick Duzan and her parents.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 P.M. on Wednesday January 24, at the Bloomfield First Christian Church in Bloomfield, an OES service will be held at 6:30 P.M., visitation will also be held from 10 A.M. until the hour of service on Thursday at the Church.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday January 25 at the Church with Scott Chastain officiating. Burial will follow at Solsberry Cemetery.

The family wishes any memorial donations in Mildred’s name be given to Bloomfield First Christian.
