Michael L. Farmer, age 74, of Bloomfield, formerly Spencer and Gosport, passed away at 11:30 PM on Sunday, July 14, 2019, at IU Health Saxony in Fishers. He was born in Bloomington on December 5, 1944, the son of Donald & Edith (Walden) Farmer.

Michael was a 1963 graduate of Spencer High School. He was a member of the Army National Guard for several years.

Michael enjoyed farming and raising cattle from 1983 until 2018. He worked for International Harvester / Navistar for thirty years, retiring in Sept. 1998. He and his wife Connie owned and operated Linton Bowling Center. He enjoyed hunting, boating, fishing, and camping.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Connie (Halfhill) Farmer of Bloomfield, a daughter, Angie Marcum of Bloomfield, a son, Bryan (Laura) Farmer of Gosport, a brother, Bobby Farmer of Ellettsville, three grandchildren, Jade Gray, Logan Farmer, and Elijah Farmer, two great-granddaughters, AthenaRose and Artemis, and his mother-in-law, Alice Martin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald & Edith (Walden) Farmer, and a brother, Brad Farmer.

Funeral service will be held at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 18, 2019. Burial will follow at Chambersville Cemetery in Spencer.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 A.M. until the time of service.
