/Maverick Ira Johnson, 23, of Lyons, IN passed away at 11:39 A.M. Saturday, August 24, 2024 in Lyons, IN. Maverick loved life, and fought for his life starting with a battle with cancer starting at age 12. He lived life to the fullest and shared it with his family and friends.
He was born November 24, 2000 in Bloomington, IN to his mother, Tammy S. (Massey) Johnson.

Maverick attended Shakamak High School. He had worked for Indiana Limestone for 4 years. He loved to ride his motorcycle, enjoyed flying his drone, photography and jeeping. He also enjoyed being on his computer, shooting guns and riding ATV’s. Maverick loved all things outdoors. Maverick loved spending time with Brently Nelson.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 5 to 8 P.M. Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at the Funeral Home. Services are immediately following at 8 P.M. with Pastor Mark Messmer officiating.
